PVC waterstop is a waterproof building component that needs to be embedded in concrete. It is known from many materials that the first waterstop was made of metal such as lead or copper, and the rubber waterstop, which is also commonly seen now, was invented in the early 1990s, and the PVC waterstop started in the 1950s. The water stop certified by each country has a variety of different shapes, but the application is similar, and the difference lies in the physical properties of the material and the difference in the needs of the site.
Since the waterstop is embedded in the building structure, its physical strength must reach a certain standard. A qualified waterstop must have high tensile strength, excellent extensibility, acid and alkali resistance, weather resistance, easy installation and easy welding.
Most of the waterstops are used in public projects, because public projects have relatively high requirements for building structures, such as dams, tunnels, bridges, irrigation channels, and industrial buildings.
